Job description
Responsible for providing coaching and support for teachers working with students with disabilities who demonstrate challenging behaviors in the school environment. Support development of FB - As and BI - Ps and work with school teams to implement positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) in the least restrictive environment. Qualifications: KSA's, Education Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Possesses the ability to coach teachers and other school staff through didactic training, modeling, and providing ongoing feedback. Demonstrates knowledge of the learning and behavioral characteristics of the students with emotional disabilities, autism, ADHD, and other related disabilities. Extensive knowledge of Functional Behavioral Assessments, Behavior Intervention Plans and Positive Behavioral Support approaches. Knowledge of reinforcement strategies, antecedent interventions, teaching strategies to develop self-regulation and self-determination.
