DutiesAs a SUPERVISORY FOREIGN MILITARY SALES SPECIALIST at the NH-0301-4 some of your typical work assignments may include:Plans, Foreign develops, Military and Sales directs Planning operation & of Operation: program policy, guidance, and problem resolution of Security Assistance (Foreign Military Sales/ FMS) statutes, programs. As the subject matters in matter the expert Security (SME) Assistance monitors portfolio, all applicable including policies, developing procedures, agreements, security regulations and assistance laws policy pertaining and to execution Security activities.Provides Supervises timely, the FMS comprehensive, Planning and and expert Policy support Division. to the Directs, Security guides, Assistance and develops community within combatant the commands Departments to of facilitate Defense, the State, operational and Commerce employment and with and the extension Defense of the Security U.S. Missile Cooperation Defense System Agency/University to foreign friends (DSCA/DSCU) and allies.Manages the development of policy solutions for problem areas and persistent or cross FMS case issues to include Non-Program of Record cases. Subject matter expert responsible for development and implementation of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) directives, guidance and procedures; providing FMS technical advice and assistance to the Missile Defense Agency staff; and providing guidance and direction to FMS action officers on complex and controversial issues. QualificationsYou may qualify at the NH-04, if you fulfill the following qualifications:A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below, please have 2 of the 3 followingExperience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) in order to analyze and recommend potential policy solutions to a wide spectrum of FMS concerns.Experience with leadership principles and corresponding ability to apply the principles in order to maximize subordinate performance and retain and recruit a quality workforce.Experience with FMS policy portfolio and international acquisition and exportability to undertake management of these key FMS tools.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
