Position Overview

QinetiQ US is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage monthly billings, collection and unbilled reporting for T&M/FFP/CPFF/milestone contracts and reconciliation to revenue
  • Perform weekly/monthly reconciliation of revenue, billings unbilled
  • Maintain AR collections to ensure all open receivables over 30 days are collected within 45-60 days from billing
  • Interpret and understand contracts and proposals billing instructions requirements, revenue recognition and reporting requirements
  • Prepare, review and submit timely and accurate billings for government and commercial customers in compliance with contractual and FAR regulations for all contract types including T&M/FFP/CPFF each month
  • Proactively track milestone/progress billings/payments in CP or other format as approved
  • Assist Project Managers/Financial Analysts with invoicing, billing, reporting and workforce questions as necessary
  • Monitor labor and expenses charged to projects and charges sitting in our Open Billing details
  • Reconcile unbilled receivables and research and analyze information to determine appropriate course of action including revising/re-submitting billings
  • Assist with billing process improvement with internal controls, financial statement reporting and audit compliance and recommend changes to improve current process
  • Assist in other AR areas such as collections and final Contract Close outs/true up invoices
  • Maintain and update billing documents in accordance with QinetiQ policies and guidelines
  • Participate in Contract Kice-off meetings, understand the terms of contract, contract type, billing instruction to ensure it meets contractual requirements
  • Maintain organized and detailed billing folders to facilitate tracking of billings and audit purposes
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly update the AR Aging and Unbilled Reporting
Required Qualifications
  • At least six years of accounting experience and proficiency with accounts receivable (AR) are required.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint
