Job Title: Overnight Operation supervisor

Location: Manassas VA 20109

Duration: 6 months contract

Job Description:

This person will monitor drivers on the road for 2nd shift, suing their on-road support system to monitor where they are at, who is falling behind, who got a flat tire and needs towed, etc. also it includes pushing productivity in the warehouse as well

Responsibilities:

• Directing the daily operations and activities of the employees with a focus on productivity & efficiency.
• Motivating employees to meet productivity, cost & quality standards.
• Designing & implementing work methods to enhance our productivity.
• Coaching & mentoring employees with both verbal and written feedback throughout the workday.
• Performing consistent quality inspections to provide feedback to the front-line employees.
• Troubleshooting any system and/or mechanical issues, with the assistance of our IT team.
• Scheduling and tracking of employee's time.
• Promoting a safe work environment and practicing food safety in every aspect of the operation
• Ensure smooth and efficient operation of our dispatch and driver team through effective supervision, managing all aspects of the shift operation
• Oversee the timely loading and dispatching of vehicles from the staging docks, based on multiple priorities and various vehicle waves
• Organizing, planning, and optimizing daily routing of customer deliveries and assigning the appropriate driver

Experience:

• 2 to 3 years of experience

Skills:

• Work experience with focus in Warehouse Lead or Management, Operations.
• Work experience with logistics, Distribution Ops and Accounting.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Education:

• High School Diploma
