Job Purpose

Ensures the division creates and maintains the proper budget and manpower resources according to accounting standards through effective planning, data/trend analysis, communication, customer specific knowledge and strong relationships with department leadership. Identification of improvement opportunities for increased efficiency, customer service and accuracy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and escalate potential issues that could negatively impact the divisions ability to complete work and propose countermeasures as appropriate through complex data analysis and critical thinking including manpower statistics and cost impact.
  • Lead the division by using analytical skills and professional accounting knowledge to work with the department managers and investment project leaders in the creation of 6 budget events per year.
  • Initiate the generation of detailed gap analysis for the departments of responsibility to be shared at budget events as well as monthly scorecards for customers.
  • Prepare budget vs actual comparisons for responsible departments which are analyzed based on professional accounting standards to ensure accurate financial information and to advise management on future activity.
  • Use financial information to create presentations to advise department leaders of budget to actual condition and make recommendations for areas of improvement.
  • Accurately and efficiently input into SAP business unit budget information.
  • Manage the division head count and report to management when gap occurs by providing detailed trend/gap analysis on weekly, monthly, and yearly basis for manpower.
  • Lead the hiring and budget plan vs. actual along with forecasting for future needs. Can include recommendation for countermeasures.
  • Place manpower orders for all levels and skillset. Support with Job Description, Positions Request forms and assignment charts.
  • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition and Compensation to support posting the positions in a timely manner. Support hiring managers with interviews.


Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelors degree in related subject (e.g., business administration, accounting, finance, etc.) or equivalent related experience.
  • 5 + years related experience
  • Skilled in data analysis.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and/or laws relating to position.
  • Ability to appropriately manage confidential information.
  • Ability to appropriately prioritize tasks with limited direction.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data for decision making/problem solving.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems in a team-based environment.

Workstyle

  • Work is primarily conducted at an office desk. Some time is spent at test facilities for collaboration.
  • Hybrid (office/home) work is available.
  • Travel and overtime are occasionally required.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with demanding customers and critical deadlines.
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends based on deadlines (usually at budget events).
  • Must be able to work on site at plant.
