A Project Manager Associate is needed for a world class utility company in the New Albany, OH area. This job oversees and coordinates a diverse portfolio of projects, providing leadership, direction, and effective communication to ensure safe, efficient, and economical project execution while fostering continuous improvement and stakeholder satisfaction.

responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

+ Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate assigned project activities.

+ Perform administrative tasks as delegated by the lead project manager or supervisor.

+ Act on behalf of the lead PM/supervisor when they are unavailable.

Safety:

+ Support and enforce the company System Safety Process.

+ Ensure a safe working environment focused on Zero Harm.

Project Planning:

+ Develop, review, and coordinate the project plan, schedule, budget, tools, and staff.

+ Increase awareness in all knowledge areas of project plans.

Communication:

+ Communicate project details and status updates.

+ Lead planning meetings and provide project/outage updates.

+ Deliver written and oral reports and other communications.

Relationship Management:

+ Develop working relationships with project team, plant and OpCo staff, internal and external customers, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.

+ Foster teamwork and seek customer satisfaction.

Guidance and Feedback:

+ Provide general guidance and feedback to improve design, systems, procedures, schedules, and costs.

Project Performance:

+ Ensure efficient and timely performance of project work activities.

Resource Management:

+ Obtain resources required for project execution.

+ Manage contracts for outside services, including developing requests for proposals, evaluating bids, selecting vendors, and overseeing vendor performance.

Procurement:

+ Develop and manage procurement plans for necessary outside resources.

Closeout Processes:

+ Conduct or assist in project closeout processes, analyzing project success and realizing project benefits.

Adherence to Standards:

+ Develop an understanding of company project management organizational standards.

+ Assist in managing projects according to these standards and adhere to company Project Management Governance Committee guidance.

Basic Qualifications:

Education:

+ Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, project management, or related field.

+ Associate's degree in the same disciplines with two years of qualified experience.

+ High School Diploma/GED with four years of qualified experience.

Qualified Experience:

+ Outage management activities, business/financial administration, major construction field experience, project estimating, project controls, project engineering, and/or comparable experience.

+ Beneficial knowledge: construction safety, negotiations, scope development and control, cost estimating, construction contracting, project controls, reporting, and quality control.

+ Favorable experience: utilities, commercial nuclear power, and/or IT systems.
