The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

The Acquisition and Technology Analysis Group within JOID specializes in the application of multi-disciplinary analytic skills to support multiple clients within the Department of Defense (DoD). These clients include the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)), DARPA, the Joint Staff, and USINDOPACOM. SPA provides critical decision support to enabling and executing a strategy of technological superiority and enabling the delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities to the warfighter quickly and cost effectively. Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure U.S. military forces retain military superiority in the future.

SPA has an immediate need for a Travel Coordinator to provide onsite support in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

The Travel Coordinator will work as a member of a Travel Support Team supporting efforts within DARPA. The candidate will be tasked to provide a range of travel support to Government Program Managers for ongoing Research and Development (R&D) programs. Develop an integrated dashboard that tracks travel budgets, trips, approval status, changes to individual trips, funding, and expense vouchers for 25+ government travelers. Communicate approval and execution status of individual trip requests. Support Program Managers in their travel documentation, implementation, and scheduling. Maintain travel budgets for Program Managers and submit travel orders and reconciliation of travel receipts. Will apply problem solving and judgment to multiple priorities and perform parallel tasking, all while maintaining strong attention-to-detail and accuracy of work products with high impact and visibility at the highest levels of DARPA.

Qualifications

Required:

* Active Secret clearance

* Bachelor's degree

* 5+ years of experience with the Defense Travel System (DTS)

* Ability to provide travel support to up to 20 Program Managers in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR)

* Ability to communicate effectively; excellent verbal and written skills

* Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment

* Attention to detail on assignments of a varied, diverse, and a sometimes difficult nature

* Ability to manage multiple and concurrent projects under tight deadlines

Desired:

* 2+ years of experience with small team management to include delegation of assignments

* 3+ years of experience with process improvement/development
