Supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of analytic tools for signal detection and evaluation, specifically SMART, PV Analyze, and PV Trend, using SQL, PL/SQL and JMP Statistical Software as the main development platforms.
Works under the direction of the Associate Director, Statistical Safety Programming.
Works in close collaboration with physicians and scientists to develop/maintain/troubleshoot the analytical applications.
Assists with GxP validation of the applications where appropriate.
Assists with administrative tasks associated with statistical software maintenance (licensing, deployment, periodic review, etc.).
Current technologies that support the development of signal detection applications include SQL and PL/SQL for back-end queries and JMP statistical software to develop the User Interface.

BS/BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics (or related experience).
SQL and PL/SQL:
In-depth knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
At least 3 years experience in developing solutions using SQL and PL/SQL.
JMP Statistical Software:
Strong working knowledge of JMP statistical software.
Proficiency in JMP Scripting Language (JSL).
Minimum of 2 years experience with JMP Application Builder to develop interactive applications/dashboards.
Strong understanding of relational databases, database programming skills and tools.
Demonstrated ability to create solutions from initial design through validation of production application and continued support.
Demonstrated understanding of basic statistical principles.
Experience in two or more of the following: Visual Basic, JSL, Java, HTML, XML or SAS.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Preferred:
Working knowledge of cloud technologies and best practices, including AWS and GCP.
Working knowledge of other scripting languages such as R, Python for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and visualization.
Experience working in Pharma, ideally in Pharmacovigilance.
