Job Summary:
To provide government acquisition services at a Contract Specialist level to support our Government Client with a variety of acquisition lifecycle tasks. Will primarily support Our Government Client Contracting Officer, with additional support to other OCFO team members. Support tasks such as market research, preparing solicitations, conducting price analyses, creating purchase and task orders, creating call orders, creating contract modifications, and creating, collecting, and organizing supporting documents. All contracting activities will be done according to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). All work will be performed remotely at Contractor's sites.

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to provide clear technical direction, and guidance to all program offices.
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Ability to review and analyze a variety of documents and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently without major oversight
  • Excellent customer service demeanor
  • Knowledge of Acquisition Systems
  • Ability to develop and interpret solicitations, price analysis, modification, exercise option years and other procurement related projects/tasks.
  • Ability to listen well; able to communicate with others in a warm and helpful manner; strong communication skills verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with people in such a manner as to build high morale and commitments to team goals; display positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed; teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and realistic understanding of issues; able to use good reasoning skills even when dealing with frequent changes.
  • Self-starter, self-motivator, able to work alone when required to get projects completed.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to organize and follow through with projects.
  • Ability to multi-task; tracking progress of work and reporting weekly to management; able to handle more than one job at a time.
  • Ability to provide quality work with few errors or discrepancies.
  • Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of Technical and Cost Data
  • Ability to read, interpret, and execute organizational policies, regulations and directives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 2003 to include Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint and Microsoft Office 2007 Project
  • Ability to work effectively in a group setting or independently
  • Intermediate to Advanced organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously without compromising data integrity is a must"

Required Qualifications/Education/Certifications:
  • 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • At least 24 semester hours in one of the following: accounting, law, business, finance, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
  • Four (4) years of experience as a GS-1102 or equivalent providing acquisition support to the United States Federal Government. Experience as a Contracting Officer Representative is not acceptable.
