We ve got what you re looking for.Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented DevOps Software Develper to join our team! In this role you will get to support the design, development, integration, and test of a virtualized, cloud-based software development environment. This system will support development and test of multiple software products with re-configurable interfaces across multiple operating systems. Applications of the system to be developed include rapid build-test-certification and future expansion to support software factory production lines.What You'll Be Doing:Lead the design and development of a virtualized, cloud-based software development environment that supports multiple software products with re-configurable interfaces across different operating systems.Develop and implement solutions for rapid build-test-certification cycles and future expansions to accommodate software factory production lines.Integrate various components of the software development environment to ensure seamless operation.Conduct thorough testing of the developed system to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compatibility across different platforms.Design, build, operate, and maintain a suite of DevOps tools to support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.Utilize industry-standard DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GIT, BitBucket effectively in daily operations.Manage cloud-based resources efficiently to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of the development environment.Optimize cloud operations for cost-effectiveness without compromising on performance or security.Work closely with other engineers, developers, and project managers to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations. - Participate in focus groups assigned to complex tasks requiring collaboration across different teams.Continuously seek ways to improve processes using Agile methodologies. - Stay abreast of new technologies that can enhance system capabilities or streamline operations.Ensure all developed systems comply with relevant security protocols. - Assist in maintaining necessary security clearances for team members as required by projects.Create comprehensive documentation regarding system design choices, operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, etc., ensuring knowledge is shared among team members.What Required Skills You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited institution (a combination of years of experience, education, training, and certifications will be considered in lieu of a degree)5+ years of DevOps engineering experienceExtensive knowledge and experience working with Linux in an enterprise environmentExperience with the design, build, and operation of DevOps Software and tools2+ years of experience with designing and developing DevOps solution architectureWorking knowledge of industry standard DevOps tools, e.g. Jenkins, GIT, BitBucketExperience working in a cloud environmentA proven self-starter able to work individually with limited supervision, and capable of working in small to large focus groups assigned to complex tasksMust be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and interpersonal skills.Open-minded, proactive as opposed to reactive, self-motivation and ownership.Willing to self-improvement and continuous learning.Excellent organization, coordination and strong sense of responsibility.Ability to work in teams, as well as independently are required.Strong attention to details.What Desired Skills You'll Bring:Experience in software development and the software development processExperience in leading and evolving Continuous Integration/Continuous Development processes using DevOps and Agile ProcessesStrong proven knowledge with deploying, configuring, and maintaining Atlassian tools, e.g. JIRA, ConfluenceStrong software Implementation knowledge, e.g. Software Development Life Cycle, Agile, DevOps, SCRUMExperience with AWSTechnical understanding of common networking terms and toolsMilitary experience or former DoD experienceMinimum Clearance Required to Start:SecretThis position is part of our Federal Solutions team.Our Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
