**Job Summary**


This position is within the Enterprise NERC Reliability Assurance (ENRA) team at AEP, which provides central coordination and decision-making authority for NERC reliability compliance obligations across the enterprise.


This position will support the tracking and reporting of emerging issues impacting the industry and NERC reliability compliance, various communication and engagement efforts as well as training and development creation, deployment and assessment. Other responsibilities may include leading cross business-unit teams in executing initiatives and/or executing process improvements, as assigned.


Additional responsibilities include, staying current on changing NERC reliability Standards and rules, supporting the development of company-wide positions with internal stakeholders, and supporting the report-out of that information to various levels of leadership. The position requires a working knowledge of the NERC reliability and security regulatory environment.


This job family requires coordination with multiple business units in a matrix environment and may interface directly with federal and regional regulators. This job family is a career progression opportunity for related business-unit NERC Reliability compliance job families.


**Job Description**


**This remote position is within the ENRA Integration & Operations Group and will require in-office attendance one day (Wednesday) per week at the AEP Headquarters (Columbus, OH).**


+ **Integration & Operations** is responsible for ENRA and NERC Compliance Program Integration, Emerging Issues and Communication. The team serves as a single point of contact for centralized services and provides comprehensive support for projects and initiatives impacting the NERC Reliability Compliance Program.


**Essential Job Functions:**


+ **Emerging Issues** support the monitoring, tracking and reporting for hot topics impacting NERC reliability compliance including federal and state policy, new and revised NERC reliability Standards and more.


+ **Communication** support various communication efforts by drafting, editing and/or revising various communication mediums to promote and drive stakeholders buy-in and support for various projects and initiatives.


+ **Training & Education** support the creation of content and assessments related to various training and education materials.


**Minimum Qualifications ENRA NERC Spec (Grade 07):**


**Education:** Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, communications, computer science, business, or related field of study; **OR** Associate's degree in one of the aforementioned fields and two (2) years of relevant work experience.


**Experience:** In addition to any experience required above, three (3) years of experience in the electric utility, or similarly regulated, industry.


**Minimum Qualifications ENRA NERC Spec Sr (Grade 08):**


**Education:** Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, communications, computer science, business, or related field of study; **OR** Associate's degree in one of the aforementioned fields of study and two (2) years of relevant work experience.


**Experience:** In addition to any experience required above, five (5) years of experience in electric utility or similarly regulated industry.


**Other Requirements:**


Masters Degree is desirable.


Certification or Licensure is preferred.


**Other Requirements/Skills Needed:**


+ Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and support of Companys Corporate Compliance policy.


+ Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and ability to initiate solutions to complex technical issues.


+ Demonstrate ability to effectively and efficiently develop functional relationships on all levels as well as external partnerships with various regulatory agencies/industry organizations.


+ Proficient in oral and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate strategy and provide guidance to management and witnesses on case as required.


+ Proficient in navigating and creating spreadsheets is required.


+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate deadlines to enable the organization to not miss deadlines.


+ Occasional travel will be required.

**Compensation Grade:**


SP20-007


**Compensation Range:**


$83,413.00-104,267.50 USD


Candidates will be considered based on their qualifications and the candidates ability to work from an approved work location. Although the location is flexible, AEP does not have a presence in all states and localities. AEP will consider qualified candidates who are willing to relocate to an approved work location, at the candidates expense, provided the relocation can be completed within a timeframe that meets AEPs staffing needs.
