: Richmond, VA 23225Contract Duration: 09 MonthsInterview Type: Both Web Cam and In Person InterviewWork Mode: HybridABOUT THE ROLEThe Client is seeking a Project Mgr. to work under a Program Manager on a new statewide enterprise technology project.The Project Manager will report to the Project Office Manager and work within this PMO, but will be directly supporting the Project's Sponsor, Program manager and Project teams.Project Management responsibilities include:Managing all aspects of complex, large-scale, high priority projects throughout the project lifecycle, to ensure it is completed on time, within scope, and within budgetDefine, document and manage project scope, schedule and budgetDevelop, maintain, and distribute standard project management artifacts (i.e. WBS, risk assessments, project charter, RACIs, communication plan, schedule, status reports, etc.)Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule throughout the project lifecycleAlign project deliverables and milestones with projects strategy and objectivesManage project within the PMO framework, process, and structureManage state level projects within the larger procurement and project management governance processes as directed by PMD & ITIMKeep leadership and the PMO informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget or resultsFacilitate project conference calls, status meetings, planning sessions, and provide for meeting notesBe a consultant to customers and communicate project status throughout the project lifecycleProactively identify and mitigate project risks and issuesManage project resources, overseeing day-to-day task executionUtilizing system-based project management applications; CTP, PlanviewThe Project Manager should have the following skills.5 plus years of direct hands-on technical Project Management experience, preferable having managed Virginia state level technology projectsExperience developing and documenting both technical and business requirementsProject Management leadership experience of cross functional matrixed teams3rd party vendor management experienceProcurement experience preferably associated with a Virginia state technology projectKnowledge of Quality Assurance (e.g. Test Plans, Test Scripts) and best practicesKnowledge of varied technologies: COTS solutions, Security best practices, Cloud-Computing and Data ManagementStrong business technical and analytical skillsAttention to detail and logical thinkingAbility to facilitate technical project meetings and translate outcome into project schedulesAbility to oversee and track progress, translating outcomes into management briefings and weekly status reportsClear, concise and diplomatic written/verbal communication skills across all levelsSolid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skillsExcellent communication (verbal and written), presentation and customer service skillsSelf-motivated team player, able to work cooperatively in a team environmentAbility to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines when requiredEffectively manage and solve complex business and technical problemsAptitude for learning new technologies, applications and business processesCollege degree or military experience, master's degree preferredExperience using system-based project management applications; Commonwealth Technology Portfolio (CTP), PlanviewProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.#CB, #DICE
