We are a trusted partner in our agile product development environment, responsible for UX Research and Design. We ensure that the design of our technical solutions represent and meet the needs of our users by gaining a true appreciation for their needs and by putting them at the center of our decision making process. The team provides thought leadership and ideas, as well as concepts through insight, prototypes, wireframes, storyboards and strives for evidence based decisioning, testing with users early and often. Together, we influence the direction, prioritization, and development within our technology organization.We work with our business and technology partners to deliver successful product outcomes, using a methodical human-centered design approach.We provide research, analysis, and design support for a robust portfolio of enterprise applications, identifying key opportunities to deliver value and reduce risk.We ensure our customer experiences are as thoughtful, effortless, and enjoyable as possible.Your Impact as a Designer:Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including product owners, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and user needs.Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications.Participate in user research activities, such as usability testing, interviews, and surveys, to gather insights and refine design solutions.Contribute and ensure designs are in line with our Freddie Mac Design System and industry standard methodologies.Stay updated with the latest UX design trends, tools, and techniques relevant to the financial industry.Present design concepts and solutions to partners and capture feedback for iterative improvement.You produce phenomenal work with quick turnarounds and multitask optimally across different activities.Your Impact as a Leader:Take ownership over patterns and experience needs that span the entire suite of tools and touch all user groups.Work with fellow design leaders and multi-functional stakeholders to determine standards for global UX needsPartner with product, business, and development leaders to streamline design delivery and enable designers to do their best work to support the implementation of platform-wide design initiatives.Create playbooks and document standard processesCollaborate with fellow design leads to refine UX process and methodology and continuously iterate on operating model so that we can be the best partners we can be to our product and development counterparts.Anticipate and manage team challenges as they ariseDrive culture change and model an attitude of user centered design, always striving for solution de-risking, value proposition validation, and evidence-based decision making.Qualifications:8-10 years of relevant professional experience5+ years of design or product strategy, visual or interaction design, data visualization and experience design.Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, or equivalent work experience.Understand the application and implementation of the Design Thinking methodology, to include ethnographic research and the artifacts that support it.Experience in user testing, ensuring customer feedback is incorporated into future design increments.Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent. (Figma experience preferred)Experience working within Agile product teams.Management experience preferred.Portfolio showcasing relevant academic or personal projects.Keys to Success in this Role:Ability to translate user needs into intuitive and functional designs.Good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.Self-starter and self-motivated. Information on these benefit programs is available on our Careers site. This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $138,000 - $206,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
