At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you ll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation. Position Overview:The Program Management Director will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives across the Investment & Capital Markets (I&CM) division s portfolio of technology investments, specifically covering the assets and/or use cases supporting the I&CM teams including, but not limited to: Asset Liability Management, Cash Window, Finance, Accounting, and Counterparty Credit Risk Management. They will be responsible for partnering with key stakeholders and application development lead(s) to deliver software, including managing through the development lifecycle and managing technology risk and controls. The business use case and supporting software coverage can range from Pre-Trade analytics, Trade Capture, P&L Reporting, Risk and Model Analytics, and Scenario Analysis. The I&CM Program Management Director will also lead engagement with the I&CM key stakeholders and users to proactively inform them of upcoming changes and deliveries to the application platform; formulate new development, manage the development book of work; and report progress, budgeting, and resource deployments to senior management. Our Impact:The I&CM division is responsible for executing liquidity, financing, credit risk transfer, and derivative transactions as well as managing Freddie Mac s portfolio of single-family securities and loan investments in the retained portfolio. The division also leads certain enterprise-level functions related to financial / capital /risk forecasting, model governance, payments, counterparty risk and third-party risk. I&CM s Enterprise Forecasting Team is responsible for the development of a forecasting engine that forecasts every loan, security, and significant accounting event for the firm, including the resulting risk and capital positions. This shared service supports nearly every risk decision in the firm, including automated underwriting, distressed loan decisioning, the profitability and risk of capital market decisions, the evaluation of credit and counterparty risks, related accounting disclosures, and capital strategy. Your Impact:Program Managers drive execution by facilitating transparency and governance of our portfolio of strategic investments (applications and programs). Program Managers must drive the information dissemination within a given project or application SDLC, being able to articulate both broad scope and purposes and very detailed requirements and specifications. Know the business anticipate and ensure business service-oriented engagement and experience-driven operating models; not necessarily taking implementation direction from the business but collaborate with development teams to deliver the destination experience while supporting good design. Drive unambiguous communication with business stakeholders, development, and program management teams driving clarity in expectations, specifications, documentation, business or technical impacts, and value-add of the application. Develop sustainable operating models and how they evolve with the maturation of applications/platforms and processes. Sustain staffing and resourcing, day-to-day services provided by the application and how they improve the way we do business. Contribute individually while managing the contributions of staff program managers, technology leads, and stakeholder leads. Experience opportunities through time to expand to cover multiple applications and programs within ICM BTO and the enterprise. This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $194,000 - $290,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
