Job description

The Choice, Inc. is conducting a dynamic search for an Email Marketing Manager on behalf of our client, a leading national public health nonprofit. This organization excels in healthcare screening services, preventative education, and financial assistance for treatments, and is consistently recognized as one of the top nonprofits to work for in the United States.

The Email Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Email Marketing, and will execute the email marketing strategy, focusing on email communications. Key responsibilities include managing email marketing operations, implementing email testing, developing content, and collaborating with various departments to support education, advocacy, fundraising, and public health initiatives.

Candidates must understand email marketing best practices and nonprofit marketing, possess excellent written and verbal communication and project management skills, demonstrate strong teamwork abilities, and have strong HTML coding experience.

Qualifications:

  • HTML coding experience; required
  • Luminate experience; highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field
  • Nonprofit experience highly preferred (healthcare or public health space a big plus)

Job Duties:

  • Co-manage scheduling, development, and execution of 300+ email messages annually.
  • Drive strong performance across various email campaigns: transactional, acquisition, onboarding, content promotion, and reacquisition.
  • Refine communications across the constituent lifecycle.
  • Execute audience selection criteria with the Director of Email Marketing and Development staff using Luminate Online, Engaging Networks, and Raiser s Edge.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of personally identifiable and financial information in partnership with the Constituent Relations team and Director of Email Marketing.
  • Produce, maintain, test, and monitor automated email communications.
  • Propose and implement testing initiatives (e.g., A/B testing); deliver outcome reports and recommend next steps.
  • Analyze monthly email activity reports and recommend improvement strategies.
  • Manage the digital newsletter schedule.
  • Collaborate with marketing, development, advocacy, and education teams to grow the email database and collect first-party data.
  • Contribute to the online communications and marketing editorial calendar.
  • Support cross-departmental initiatives through email content development adaptable for multiple channels.
  • Work closely with social media, communication, and website teams to enhance campaign effectiveness across digital touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with education and government relations departments to engage, retain, and grow the patient and advocacy network.
  • Assist in executing marketing projects across the digital landscape.

About the office:

The office is easily accessible by Red line Metro and also offers parking on site. The required in office expectation is up to 4 times a month. This is not a fully remote position.
