Job description

Intern - Maintenance Mechanic Position Summary To serve our internal and external customers by ensuring that all resets are scheduled and performed according to established standards and by developing and managing our employees in order to maximize company sales profits. Essential Functions Ensures effective distribution, warehousing and storage of point of purchase advertising materials, premiums, dealer loaders and employee uniforms. Ensures that all requests for resets (e.g. store, cooler, and shelf) are scheduled and completed according to established company standards. Manages, trains and develops employees to ensure that they are performing job duties in accordance with established company standards. Manages and reviews outside advertising sign placements, customer product complaints and special services for senior management and G&J AdCo. Manages point-of-purchase advertising budget to ensure cost effectiveness of all marketing programs; develops competitive bids for merchandising materials, premiums and dealer loaders. Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g. OSHA and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local laws). Maintains confidentiality of financial information, promotions, pricing, CDA contracts, customer information and employee information (e.g. discipline, wage information) and other sensitive and confidential information. Completes budget reports, national trimester order sheets, merchandising plan-o-grams, reset schedules, required sales reports and other paperwork according to established company policy; reviews and approves time off requests and time cards. Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required. Education 2 Year / Associate Degreein sales, marketing or related field or equivalent work experience required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in sales, marketing or related field preferred. Experience 3 - 5years of beverage industry sales experience combined with grocery experience.1 - 3years of supervisory experience. Computer Skills Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Access. Certifications & Licenses Valid Driver's License; employee must be insurable to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment. Other Requirements Knowledge of: retail sales environment; beverage industry; Microsoft Office Suite including Access; Apollo space management software. Skill in: internal and external customer service; training and coaching. Ability to: train, develop, manage and lead a team; work quickly, efficiently and independently; manage multiple and competing priorities; communicate effectively with customers and other employees both verbally and in writing; adapt to change; design and deliver presentations to other employees; relate to and influence customers and other employees; develop and maintain good working relationships; problem solve; delegate; operate a computer, forklift and pallet jack; multi-task.
