Job description
The Custodian has duties that include but are not limited to:Performs general and specific cleaning and maintenance tasks to provide a clean, safe, sanitized, and pleasant physical environment. Performs other duties assigned include but not limited to furniture moving, office cleaning, class room cleaning, restroom cleaning, exterior entrances cleaning, providing emergency support, supporting special event set up and break down, and cleaning all public spaces. Availability and willingness to work during emergency situations such as staffing shortages and snow removal. Examples of emergency service are snow removal; inclement weather and water damage clean up. Performs duties that involve using tools, equipment, and supplies of the trade. Work Interactions. The Custodian reports directly to the Manager of Custodial Services, and, as assigned by the Manager or Director / Assistant Director of Facilities Management, may report to another manager or staff member.
