The Ohio Department of Health supports a hybrid teleworking model. This position may work a hybrid schedule at the discretion of the manager or supervisor, which will require occasional attendance in the office for training, meetings and other operational needs. Employees must reside within a reasonable distance to their assigned headquarters for compliance with workplace reporting requirements.
Unless required by legislation, the selected candidate will begin at Pay Grade 14, Step 1 of the Exempt Pay Range Schedule ($35.74 per hour), with an opportunity for pay increase after six months ($37.78) of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
What You'll Do:
The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) is hiring for one (1) Health Planning Administrator 2 in the Bureau of Health Improvement and Wellness (BHIW). This position will manage the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program.
* Develops applications for and administers the Breast and Cervical Cancer Project (BCCP) and WISEWOMAN (Well- Integrated Screening and Evaluation of Women Across the Nation) cooperative agreements funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
* Implements procedures and utilizes tools to help program staff monitor contract deliverables and expenditures.
* Ensures the submission and evaluation of Minimum Data Elements (MDE) to CDC for BCCP and WISEWOMAN.
* Tracks and monitors budget expenditures.
* Oversees and manages contracts.
* Formulates fiscal and administrative policies and develops standards and guidelines.
* Assesses present and future program needs and evaluates existing program performance through statistical analysis, subgrantee and program progress reports and site visits.
* Analyzes guidance documents to ensure that ODH is compliant with federal cooperative agreement requirements and leads completion of these requirements.
* Serves as the contact with CDC for fiscal and programmatic issues for BCCP and WISEWOMAN.
* Considers health equity strategies and activities to reduce disparities in breast and cervical cancer screenings and cardiovascular screenings and services for BCCP clients.
* Supervises assigned staff.
