Description

The Executive Director for the National Advanced Air Mobility Center of Excellence (NAAMCE) supports the mission of the organization; to convene and collaborate with industry, academia, government and community partners to advance the industrialization, commercialization and acceptance of Advanced Air Mobility internationally by leveraging all of Ohio's capabilities and resources. The NAAMCE will be a non-profit organization recognized as an international leader in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), innovations and partnerships providing a gateway to Ohio AAM capabilities. This position also reports to the NAAMCE Board of Directors; once established. Employee will report directly to the Clark State, VP for Advancement until the formal Board of Directors and Executive Board Members are established.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Establish on-site NAAMCE proving ground capabilities for testing by government, industry, and academia (testing, research and development).2.Responsible for helping to advance AAM and related supporting programs in the State of Ohio by managing the day-to-day operations for the center and leveraging a small team of advisors. 3.Partner with Ohio Department of Transportation Air Mobility Operations Center (AMOC) to help establish statewide and nationwide integrated airspace for operations in AAM.4.Establish partnerships to connect organizations, legislative interest groups, technologies, and opportunities to advance the AAM Industry.5.Serve as a forum, through symposiums, conferences, and other means as appropriate, for cross-disciplinary collaboration among AAM (to include Digital Engineering).6.Grant development and management on behalf of the NAAMCE, in coordination with Board and stake holders. 7.Foster a workforce pipeline to generate talent required to support AAM Industry.8.All other duties assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
The Executive Director must be self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills. This person is required to logically examine facts and situations with a desire for action. Attention to detail and ability to execute are essential traits in this high-pace environment. The Executive Director must possess excellent interpersonal, social, and communication skills in order to develop and maintain relationships with constituents and other stakeholders.

This position requires collaboration in a team environment and is responsible for supporting the Advanced Air Mobility efforts of Clark State College and the future Executive Board President.

The Executive director is responsible for creating enthusiasm for the NAAMCE and ensuring it becomes a national leader in the Advanced Air Mobility space.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • At least 2 years' experience with AAM Industry (eVTOL, UAS, OEM etc.)
  • Proven record in developing and implementing strategy
  • Strong verbal and writing skills
  • Pilot experience desired

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, faculty, and students.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
