Job Opportunity: Integrated Pharmacy Technician

Role Overview: Join our team to provide hands-on support to pharmacy staff and Shields Health Solutions Liaisons, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of specialty medications. Collaborate closely with hospital pharmacy staff and Shields Liaisons to optimize patient care and streamline operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate medication refills, handle data entry, and adjudicate pharmacy claims.
  • Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists and clinicians.
  • Identify and manage special storage and handling needs for medications.
  • Organize necessary supplies for select medications.
  • Address and triage inbound inquiries.
  • Maintain and update data using database applications.
  • Contribute to operational improvements and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to add value.
  • Ensure confidentiality and protect organizational value.
  • Stay updated through educational opportunities and professional networks.
Skills & Traits:
  • Strong interpersonal and phone communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High integrity, dependable, empathetic, and a good communicator.
  • Energetic, motivated, team player with discretion and confidentiality.
Specialties: Knowledge in transplant, hepatitis C, pulmonology, and/or oncology is a plus.

Qualifications:
  • State-registered pharmacy technician; national certification (CPhT) preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience required; 5-8 years preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in a medical clinic environment is advantageous.
