Overview: Group W, an employee-owned company, is searching for a meticulous full-time Accounting/Payroll Associate with a passion for precision to provide support to the Finance Department. The trust-worthy individual will assist with administrative and clerical duties to include payroll, data entry, processing and recording transactions, fact-checking, and all other duties as assigned. This role is perfect for the person who thrives in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance.
Requirements:
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
U.S. citizenship
Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related discipline
General knowledge of government contracting
Familiarity with basic accounting principles
Experience processing multi-state payroll
Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
Responsibilities:
Weekly and monthly processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable
Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing including adjustments, preparation of payroll accruals, and reconciliation W2 data to ensure compliance.
Expense report processing
Cash receipt processing
Credit card reconciliation
Filing vendor and contract documents
Preparation for outside audits
Assist with client billing
