IonQ is at the forefront of this technological revolution.The salary range for this position is $162,920 - $213,304.We are looking for a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to help ensure the security of our quantum computers, with a particular focus on achieving compliance with Federal standards like NIST 800-53.In this role, you will lead a cross-functional team and you will have program-level decision-making authority and will be looking for you to own and drive successful outcomes. This person must be able to calmly lead their teams through high ambiguity problems and overcome difficult obstacles. We also need a strategic thinker who can operationalize our approach to solving these problems and driving efficiencies that will enable us to scale this business.This is a high-visibility role with ownership of the company s highest-priority initiatives. As such, this role will routinely interact with VP-level leaders, the CEO, and key partners.

Responsibilities:Own the end-to-end delivery of security and compliance controls as it relates to building IonQ's next-generation quantum computers. This can involve program management of numerous development work streams in both hardware and softwareCreate and manage project timelines, establish key milestones and major deliverables, ensure resource alignment, and drive teams forward at a rapid paceWhen projects encounter significant obstacles, roll up your sleeves, dive into details, and lead problem-solving efforts with a high sense of urgency and bias for actionCoordinate and interface with all project dependencies including other technical and non-technical teams both internal and external to the companyCreate, write, and present concise, data-driven project status reports and presentations to senior managementYou d be a good fit with:10+ years experience in managing projects and delivering technical/product goals within aggressive timelinesExperience managing projects through the Product Development Lifecycle with formal gated reviewsPrior experience leading compliance with NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, and/or FedRAMPPrior experience leading compliance with SOC2 and/or ISO 27001The ability to lead technical teams through problems and situations with high levels of ambiguityDemonstrated experience working in research and development in industry or at a national labHighly effective written and verbal communication skillsExperience in writing and leading responses to government Request For ProposalsExperience in customer-facing technical rolesExperience in managing R&D projectsB.S. in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical fieldsPMP CertificationUS Citizenship is requiredYou d be a great fit with:15+ years experiencePhD in Engineering or Science with preference in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer ScienceExperience or training in Quantum ComputingProficient executive presentation and communication skillsGovernment Security ClearanceExperience with managing the implementation of DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks or Hardening Standards across complex environmentsHigh-level experience with a range of security tools including EDR, SIEM, CSPMExperience developing a System Security Plan for a medium to high-complexity organizationAbility to earn the trust and respect of technical stakeholders through consistency, communication, and resultsLocation:This position is located in our bright, airy headquarters in College Park, MD. We are also open to hiring at our newest facility in Bothell, WA.Our HQ is located in College Park, Maryland and we are a 15 minute metro ride from Washington DC. We are actively building out our recently opened manufacturing and production facility in the Seattle, Washington area. Depending on the position, you may be required to be located in Washington DC, Seattle, Washington or the Toronto, Canada area.
