We are currently looking to hire an experienced Senior Applications Engineer to design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and implementation. You will Manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques, and Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools. You will review existing programs and assists in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improve current techniques. Formulate and define specifications for software applications or modifications and maintain existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer. You will also be responsible for quality assurance review and the evaluation of existing and new software products.Requirements:Experience in continuously monitoring the health and status of security tool suites through IT system management toolsExperience in conducting database administration to monitor, report, and repair any degradation of the status of the systems and tools within the NISIRTExperience in collaborating and coordinating with ancillary organizations to procure and deliver new solutionsExperience in defining, designing, and incorporating interfaces to retrieve data from various scanning toolsExperience in enhancing, modifying, and testing COTS/GOTS and any applicable hardware to ensure interoperability and compatibility with existing Enterprise IT/IC GovCloud architectureExperience with preparing and conducting security tool instruction/training with regards to newly deployed tool capabilities and functions for authorized users of the Agency Enterprise IT/IC GovCloud security tool suiteExperience in defining, coordinating, and scheduling testing, integration, implementation, and deployment activities with dependent external interface devices/ownersSix (6) years of experience as a Software/Applications Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexityA Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or universityActive TS/SCI clearance with PolygraphWe love what we do, and that drives us to create the best possible results for our customers.
