Contracts Manager

Job description

This individual would report to the Director and be responsible for performing proposal and contract management duties for large commercial and U.S. Government contracts and agreements.

Responsibilities:

Draft and revise a variety of contracts with customers

Meet with customers to discuss both legal and business matters

Maintain excellent working relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met

Provide support and advice on new potential businesses opportunities

Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these changes

Create, prepare, review and edit all contracts

Provide advice and guidance to the different teams relating to contract generation

Ensure the organization's internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained

Specifies all contractual guidelines to be followed during proposal preparation

Provides counsel to management regarding proposed contract liability, terms and conditions and compatibility with established company practices

Organizes the technical data, delivery schedule, terms and conditions and other contractual elements into a cohesive proposal

Reviews cost data and other detailed information to assure that bids are fully compliant to any applicable commercial or U.S. Government requirements

Ensures that proposals clearly define the scope of work to be performed and are in compliance with any applicable U.S. Government or foreign laws/regulations and company policies

Leads the negotiation team, working with the team members and management to develop sound negotiation strategy

Represents the company in contractual communications with the customer, both written and oral

Maintains official records file as required by company policy, contract terms, FAR and other Government regulations or law

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related Engineering field

Demonstrate a solid understanding of legal terminology

Exemplify a strong attention to detail

Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office and G Suite

Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Exemplify creative problem solving abilities

Capable of professionally managing confidential information

Previous experience working with contract regulations the related laws is strongly preferred

Possesses superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines

Comfortable working as part of a multi-dimensional team

Desired Qualifications:

Masters Degree, or PhD in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related Engineering field

Prior experience at a tech company

Prior DoD experience

Ability to break down a product or feature into the technical teams and systems involved and their dependencies

Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members

Experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines

Ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
