Job DescriptionFibertek, Inc. is a leading developer of laser and electro-optic systems for the aerospace community, with key contributions to lasers for atmospheric sensing, laser communications, and lidar sensors for NASA, DoD, and commercial customers. We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our highly collaborative team in Herndon, Virginia. As Contracts Manager you will:Provide contract management on a portfolio of highly complex contracts and proposalsNegotiate commercial terms and conditionsSupport contract growth and new business capturesDay to day contract administrationProposal preparation and reviewCustomer relationship and functional supportEnsuring contract complianceIdentifying and mitigating execution risksExercise initiative, participate in strategy development, and work in an independent manner.Work directly with multiple customers on various contract types (FFP, CPFF/AF/IF, T&M, IDIQ).Learn and develop advanced concepts, techniques, standards and solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.Selected candidate will exercise initiative and independent action in support of corporate goals. Must be able to effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple assignments and priorities, and work effectively and independently in a dynamic environment. Subcontracts Management skills are desired, but are not required.Job Requirements

Experience and expertise required:10 years relevant experienceWorking with FAR, DFAR or other agency regulationsManaging and negotiating contractsProactive administration of contractsDeveloping trusted partnerships with internal and external customersProactive problem identification and resolutionPreparing compliant proposals including pricingSound mathematical skillsProficient with MS Excel and MS WordExperience working with multiple contract types (FFP, CPFF/AF/IF, T&M, IDIQ)Problem-solving and analytical skills to support and achieve business goalsDesire to help grow the business and gain efficiencies to improve program performanceAbility to thrive in a team environment and provide contractual support and guidance to other program personnelExperience communicating across varied audiences, including written, spoken, and presentation preparationAbility to collaboratively interface with diverse disciplines including: Executive Management, Program Management, Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, Subcontracts, Property, and Business DevelopmentFIBERTEK, Inc. is a recognized leader in advanced lasers, lidars and laser communication systems providing our DoD, NASA and aerospace customers discriminating capabilities.
