Job description

Job Purpose

Opus is a software and electronic hardware driven global leader in the Automotive Technology Service industry. Our mission is to make the world a cleaner and safer place by providing highly effective solutions for Vehicle Inspection and Intelligent Vehicle Support through innovative technologies, customer focus and operational excellence. Opus's technologies and services help our state partners to meet strict US EPA Clean Air regulations by managing vehicle inspection programs, Vehicle Information Databases, and developing differentiated solutions for remote vehicle monitoring.

Manage a team of approximately 16 personnel and a fleet of approximately 12 vehicles in order to test vehicles on road with remote sensing technology.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Scheduling staff members for on road testing, loading into website & LCAMS/VA Traffic via custom software

* RSD site selection, performance, and maintenance of site database

* Auditing of testing sites, operators, vans, and equipment

* Communicate with, support, train, and develop RSD operators

* Address questions and concerns regarding RSD data

* Manage testing equipment inventory, vehicle maintenance, data collection

* Oversee equipment maintenance to include repairs, hardware modifications, software updates, and database maintenance (Site and Operator MDB files)

* Develop and perform data analysis to maximize the efficient use of resources to achieve program and company objectives

* Develop effective reporting to track and display performance metrics

* Work with vendors, place orders, process paperwork and invoices

* Communicate with Engineering issues, develop troubleshooting techniques, modifications, and/or corrective action

* Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager

Requirements

* Experience with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets

* Experience with data analysis

* Team management

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

* Work early and late shifts

* Familiarity with operating electronics equipment and PC operating systems is necessary.

* Must have good organization and planning skills.

* Knowledge of vehicle inspection programs is desired
