PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a Wire Bond Assembler to fabricate complex microwave/RF Integrated circuit modules and sub-assemblies in support of ongoing projects for an Aerospace and Defense leader Manassas, VA. This is an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity with on the job training.

Job Description:

Manassas Microwave Factory is seeking a Mechanical Assembly operator to fabricate complex microwave/RF Integrated circuit modules and sub assemblies by following specific instructions.

Responsibilities

• One or more of the following: Wire bond, Seals, Temp Cycle, Burn In, Leak Checks, etc...


• Good hand dexterity


• Ability to perform assembly tasks while looking through a microscope (10-60X magnification


• Ability to follow detailed instructions on a computer system.


• Ability to train on and operate manufacturing equipment


• Good communication skills, ability to work as a strong team member and contributor.


• Training for the first 6 months on the 1st shift Monday- Friday on a 9/80 schedule, 12 am to 12 pm, but it can be adjusted. Work 36 hours will get paid for 40 hours. This will shift to a weekend schedule Friday- Sunday once training is completed.

Required:

• At least 2-3 years working in a manufacturing environment as an operator, with a strong quality management system


• Previous experience with electronic assembly


• Ability to use work under a microscope for extended periods to perform certain functions.


• Ability to read and understand drawings and work instructions.


• Ability to use Microsoft Office products.


• Ability to operate semi-automatic manufacturing tools.


• US Citizenship is required


• High School diploma or GED required
