Overview:

Medical Technologist III- Chemistry Lead - $5000 Sign-On Bonus

Full Time Regular

8 am - 4:30 pm

40 hours/week

Weekend and holiday rotation required

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the independent performance of technical procedures, including emergency and routine patient testing, quality control, and preventive maintenance. Participates in Quality Management processes as needed. Qualifies as a General Supervisor under CLIA, and may act as supervisor designate in the absence of the Section Manager or Section Supervisor. Demonstrates Leadership and Technical Expertise.



Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Education and Work Experience:
    • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
    • A B.S. and successful completion of an accredited MT/MLS program.
    • A B.S or A.A.in Chemistry, Biology, or other laboratory based Science including a Laboratory training program or accredited by the ABHES, NAACLS or HHS sanctioned reviewer, ASCP accreditation or equivalent.
    • A B.S. or A.A. in Chemistry, Biology, or other laboratory based Science degree that includes 60 semester hours of medical lab technology courses or other sciences as specified by CLIA.
    • 5 years prior experience in a licensed Clinical laboratory preferred.

    • ASCP Certification Required; Specialty Certification preferred

    • Performance Manager/NetLearning
    • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following:
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
    • Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
    • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
    • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
    • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Meet M.T. Tier requirements for MT/MLS III and successfully complete the application process.
