Senior System Administrator
Altamira delivers a variety of analytic and engineering capabilities to the US National Security community, but the tech culture and the caliber of the individuals that bring these capabilities to fruition are what really set us apart. Our Dayton, OH office is highly focused on the Space-based mission set with a heavy emphasis on sensor exploitation and analysis; Tampa, FL focuses on 'art-of-the-possible' analytics of all kinds with an emphasis on graph technologies, NLP, and wrangling complex data sets; and all forces converge at our headquarters in the Northern Virginia/Washington DC area where we host our tech events and support engineering and analytic missions across several IC and DOD agencies.

Our specialties are data science and analytics, data engineering, software engineering, and end-to-end analytic solutions architecture. The Role: An Altamira System Administrator will implement baseline changes and respond to change requests; support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Unix/Linux systems. Perform technical evaluations, analysis, and troubleshooting for all supported servers; build servers by providing technical configuration, setup, installation services, hardware and coordination of application projects; and operate and maintain servers. Manage day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution of Linux systems. Activities include installation and maintenance of operating systems and application patches. Install, configure, and maintain required applications such as McAfee virus scanning tools, system event logging and auditing, configuration management tools, system health and monitoring tools, and IAVA compliance patching. Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve availability. Attend TEMs to discuss and agree upon MOAs -ensure MOA is within scope of server team's work. Support customer in the development of a dedicated server build report as well as an internal build report. Create and/or update the Asset Management record-responsible for integrity of asset management record. Ensure build report (procedure) is feasible, clear, and concise.

- Microsoft Windows desktop and server design, configuration, and maintenance in a secure IT environment, including one or more of Windows 7, Windows I 0, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016
- Designing and operating Microsoft Active Directory in a secure and distributed IT environment supporting clients and servers such as Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016
- Macintosh devices design, configuration, and maintenance in a secure IT environment.
- Linux desktops, servers, and other devices design, configuration, and maintenance in a secure IT environment.
- Configuration and operation of Enterprise storage across network (SAN) solutions (e.g. HPE 3PAR, NetApp, EMC)
- Server virtualization solution design, configuration, and maintenance using software such as VMWare vSphere, Windows Hyper-V, or equivalent.
- VOIP solution design, configuration, and maintenance with Cisco, Polycom, or equivalent solutions.
- VTC solution design, configuration, and maintenance with Cisco, Polycom, or equivalent solutions.
- Configuration and maintenance of COMSEC (NSA GOTS/Type-1) systems.
- Installation and maintenance of the preceding technologies at multiple distributed locations.
- Experience configuring and operating enterprise storage across networks (SAN)
- Server visualization - design solutions and configuration (VMWare, VSphere, Hyper-V, etc)
- VOIP and VTC solution designs
- Configure and maintain COMSEC
- TS/SCI w/FSP
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience providing support in the respective disciplines.
