WTR Search Renewables is looking for a Wind Site Manager for a fully-staffed wind farm located in West Virginia. Residence near the wind farm is required and relocation assistance is available.

You MUST have previous management experience in the wind industry to be considered for this role. Candidates without wind industry experience will not be considered.

Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating all fieldwork, management and administration of maintenance and repairs, safety of direct reports and company assets, creation and control of site budgets and budget forecasting, customer and landowner relationships, and management of State and Federal agency guidelines and laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of day-to-day operations of the facility in a safe and environmentally sound manner
• Ability and willingness to climb wind turbines
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of site equipment including WTGs, High Voltage/Substation, SCADA functions, applicable PPE, etc
• Procure parts, materials, and services and support resolution of technical issues
• Interface and coordinate with local customers and suppliers
• Assist wind technicians in various wind turbine troubleshooting and maintenance activities and perform routine Quality assurance checks of wind technician work
• Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with all project participants, including landowners, purchasing off-takers, interconnected utilities, contractors, etc.
• Management of HV facilities including the required monitoring and control activities in substations (switching, alarm monitoring, investigations)
• Prepare annual operating budgets and periodic status reports

Requirements

• 5+ years of management experience in the wind industry (O&M experience in wind energy environment required)
• Expected to have field experience with onshore wind projects and thrive on being at the project site, taking the lead on daily operational tasks
• Must have a valid driver s license and satisfactory driving record
• Must be able to pass a pre-hire drug screen
• Physically and mentally able to climb wind turbines, work at heights, and in confined spaces
