Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rheumatology, excellent clinical skills, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care. General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, and osteoarthritis.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations and practice guidelines.
  • Provide patient education on disease management, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Stay current with advances in rheumatology through continuing education and professional development.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Master s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Delaware and New Jersey (Preferred).
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) from a nationally recognized certifying body (ANCC, AANP).
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in rheumatology or a related field.
  • Strong diagnostic, clinical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a rheumatology clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of current best practices and treatment guidelines in rheumatology.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
