Job description

An ambitious, high growth international events business is currently seeking a new FP&A hire to join the expanding team.

This role will be based in Washington DC, and report directly in to the COO. Responsibilities include:
  • Support and contribute to the production of the five-year business plan and financial strategy.
  • Analyse competitor and market financial information to contribute to decision making.
  • Track performance against KPIs and provide regular information to senior management.
  • Partner with the Group FC and UK finance team, to ensure that there is integrity and a continuum between.
  • Lead on forecast and planning processes.
  • Present accurate and timely monthly financial data to the Board, including cash/working capital, P&L, KPI reporting with a comparison to budget and last forecast.
  • Highlight trends, key actions, and strategic implications.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to help ensure the Finance Department is well informed and has a strong voice in the organisation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective FP&A processes that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools and data to establish goals.
  • Continually improve the entire financial planning process, reporting, processes, and systems.
  • Project manage end-to-end delivery of financial forecasting processes, including communications, timetables, and data requirements.
  • Develop and own a robust, iterative financial planning and forecasting model that can adapt and flex to shed insight on key meaningful what/if questions that are asked.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial models and projections through implementation of suitable controls, documentation, and testing.
  • Coordinate the capital spending review process for the Group.
  • Involvement in due diligence processes relating to the Group's acquisition activities
  • Perform scenario modelling to assess risks and aid decision making.
  • Regularly review the methodology used to assess our risk capital requirements used for measuring the financial strength of the Group.
  • Aid risk management and decision making through scenario analysis and stress testing.
  • Ownership and management of strategic financial risks.

The role is best suited to a Qualified Accountant (CPA, MBA) or similar, who has proven experience working in FP&A - developing processes, strategies, reporting and analysis. Candidates must have advanced Excel skills and strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and apply commercial knowledge to aid business decision making. Ideally you will be adaptable and able to work in a fast-changing environment, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to partner well with stakeholders at all levels is essential.
