Job description

Help Wanted Town of Thurmont Administrative Assistant/ Receptionist

Job Description: Duties include working a schedule of Monday -Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; daily office receptionist, greet customers at counter and assist with transactions, assist customers on the phone, handle money, operate office equipment and other administrative office tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements: Excellent customer service skills, self-motivated, highly organized, dependable and able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously; work independently and as part of a team, have good written and oral communications skills and proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Must be able to learn and handle customer transactions using utility billing software.

Starting Salary $19/hour, plus generous benefits package. The Town of Thurmont is a drug-free work environment and prospective employees must pass a pre-employment drug test.
