We are seeking a Data and Analytics Director who will work as a member of the senior team and under the direction of the Field Director. The role will directly manage the Quality Control Director and Quality Control administrators as well as a Data Manager in the 2024 election.


The Data and Analytics Director will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our work by meticulously maintaining all reporting systems for the 2024 programs, providing logistical support to offices, and managing the offices quality control program. This position requires someone with strong communication skills, adaptability to a fast-paced environment, and a keen willingness to learn

The candidate must also have demonstrated professionalism and tact in communications with a diversity of individuals. Strong organizational and time management skills, acute attention to detail and ability to work well with others on the campaign team is a must. This position can be based in Cincinnati, Columbus, or Cleveland, Ohio. . .


Key Responsibilities


  • Quality Control Management. Manage FFOHs Quality Control processes by administering BLOCKS, managing QC staff flow, monitoring all flags both in BLOCKS and from soft reports from various staff, and reporting patterns and flags to other necessary staff.
  • Voter File Management and Maintenance. Manage voter file access for FFOH including administration and security, training staff, and providing technical assistance as needed. Work with staff, consultants, and others for the acquisition, enhancement, manipulation, and management of voter and member data. Adhere to legal compliance.
  • Management of Data Tools: Lead organizational VAN and data trainings. This includes identifying the various training needs, creating the necessary training materials, and leading the presentations. Provide support, including training and troubleshooting, for the implementation of various campaign tools.
  • Reporting System Management. Responsible for recommending, designing, and managing reporting tools in Google Sheets and Looker Studio to ensure data accuracy and consistency in reporting. Manage reports measuring the progress of field and QC programs, ensuring they are on track to meet targets. Use data to generate projections and reports, providing insights into program performance and areas for improvement and to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and field teams.



Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Meaningful experience in political or civic data, ideally with at least one cycle in a mid- or senior-level role.
  • Strong management skills, with past experience managing people and projects.
  • Past experience integrating race equity into data work, a commitment to anti-racism, and a clear understanding of how gender, sexuality, and other forms of oppression intersect with race and show up in data, organizing and electoral settings.
  • Experience with VAN, ideally as an administrator.
  • Solid SQL skills - you don't need to be an expert, but you should be comfortable writing queries with joins and aggregate functions, as well as coaching other data staff on SQL.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills, and a service oriented approach that prioritizes collaboration, supporting staff and partners, and building for the long term.

Position Details The Data and Analytics Director position is full-time, salaried position. Weekend and evening hours are required. Physical requirements include the ability to sit for extended periods of time, and lift moderate weight for supplies. Candidates must reside in Columbus, Cincinnati, or Cleveland, Ohio and have reliable transportation to an in-office setting.


Salary This position pays $75,000-80,000.00
