We are in search of a Master Scheduler to lead and facilitate the execution of all aspects of the department master schedule to satisfy customer needs. This role assists in the facilitation of the manufacturing schedule, backlog, and inventory control activities in conjunction with the department. It works with department leadership to facilitate flow of work and serves as liaison with Sales in response to customer inquiries. Work with suppliers, both internal and external, to expedite product as needed and facilitate special orders. Works with Logistics as needed to ensure shipments are completed on time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work safely at all times and bring any safety concerns to manufacturing or sourcing leadership
  • Plan for material availability by creating inventory work orders, placing transfer orders and working with Buyers/Planners to expedite materials
  • Maintain the accuracy of the purchasing item data and planning parameters driving the ERP system for a product area or product line(s)
  • Based on forecasts of annual usage, establish and maintain appropriate stocking levels for all parts and sets up min/max lot sizing, Minimum On-Hand quantities, and Kanban quantities for each
  • Proactively review material supply to ensure adequate availability to meet demands, both internal and external, including sales opportunities over and above the current plan
  • Proactively review Sales Order Backlog looking for opportunities to improve customer shipment dates
  • Assess impact to material availability and production schedule from customer sales opportunities that may be affecting demand for product over and above the plan. Support sales team as needed by reviewing and maintaining sales order backlog dates
  • Quote lead times to sales/customer service in accordance with changes in available supply
  • Support resolution of inventory discrepancies
  • Work with manufacturing engineering to quickly identify needs and challenges, ensuring materials are ordered and BOM and routing are in place
  • Through effective administration of the manufacturing schedule for a given product area or cell, ensure the department has adequate capacity and workload is properly balanced

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required (Operations Management or Business degree preferred)
  • Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft Excel preferred
  • ERP experience preferred
  • APICS certification preferred
