Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform work in the areas of traffic noise analysis, rail noise analysis, construction noise analysis, noise barrier design, sound monitoring, vibration analysis, and/or air quality analysis.
- Collecting field data collection and data processing.
- Utilizing noise modeling software.
- Conducting noise impact analysis.
- Supporting tasks and services would include report preparation, CADD & GIS usage, noise modeling, analysis, and/or environmental planning and permitting support.
- Additional tasks may support NEPA projects.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Environmental Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-year of professional highway noise experience.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Microsoft/Excel).
- Keen attention to detail.
- Experience using CADD.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant background in Acoustical Analysis, Noise Abatement Design, Air Quality, Traffic Analysis, Site Design, Roadway Design, and/or Rail Noise.
- Experience with MicroStation.
- Noise analysis experience with the Maryland Department of Transportation.
- General transportation related planning or NEPA experience.

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

- Conduct field work and carry related equipment required to the site/area.
- Travel to field locations, as required.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
