Job description

Our Mobile Response Stabilization Service (MRSS) was developed to provide effective crisis response services, diverting individuals from unnecessary legal involvement or hospitalization

Position: Clinician (LMSW/LGPC/LGMFT) - Mobile Response Stabilization Service (MRSS) - Response Team

Youth Specialized Clinician that operates on a two-person team which responds to Mental Health, Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse related crisis emergency situations within the school system.

Location: Prince George's County Public School System service area (Travel required for crisis response at area schools)

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to crisis calls involving children, adolescents, and families, providing immediate assessment and intervention on site.
  • Operate on a two-person team, specializing in Mental Health, Behavioral Health, and Substance Abuse-related crisis emergency situations.
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments and make referrals to appropriate services.
  • Connect clients to support services, including employment, education, and economic benefit programs.
  • Offer harm reduction options and promote treatment, including the provision of naloxone.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide coordinated crisis responses.
  • Communicate clients' needs to multi-disciplinary teams and provide de-escalation techniques and clinical interventions.
  • Lead and work alongside peer support staff, ensuring adherence to the MRSS mission.
  • Provide clinical education and training to peer support staff.
  • Document client interactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Evidence-based training will be provided to enhance crisis intervention skills.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
  • Maryland State license required (LMSW, LGPC, or LGMFT).
  • Minimum 2 years of crisis intervention or related experience.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for mental health conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and travel only within Prince Georges County for crisis response.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.




Compensation details: 72000-75000 Yearly Salary
