Bilingual Administrative Assistant

Job description

Position: Bilingual Compliance Representative

Location: Laurel, MD

Duration: 6 month contract-to-hire

Start: 1-2 weeks


Position Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls from clients and internal personnel regarding project updates.
  • Documentation case-related activities, communications, project updates, and decisions.
  • Data entry and light data analysis (inputting data into MS Excel, filtering/sorting, basic formulas)
  • Adhere to privacy regulations and organizational policies.
  • Communicate with English and Spanish speaking employees and clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of all case-related documentation and correspondence.
  • Operate effectively in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, light Excel).
  • Handle various administrative tasks as needed.


Required Skills:

  • Experience in a compliance related role (also open to HR, Operations, Data Entry).
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Comfortable working in a smaller office, fully onsite.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and ability to learn new programs & tools

  • This company is a union company that does legal work regarding construction, engineering, and labor projects.
  • They need someone to spearhead compliance efforts in their Laurel office - heavily involving documentation, editing, HR compliance, and administrative tasks.
  • This is a smaller office, so they want someone comfortable with that!


Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
