Appointment Type: Full-Time Regular (FTR-A)

Location: Washington, DC

*Salary Range: $93,932.80 - $122,116.80

PURPOSE:

To provide subject matter expertise in exercise program management exercise planning, and exercise execution to support with the development of a formalized exercise program for the Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate (WMDD).

Responsibilities
    Develop a standardized after-action report format for the Exercise Branch and manage the process to ensure these reports are properly populated on designated exercises and real-world events.
  • Provide programmatic support to the Exercise Branch led by the FBI, which will entail coordinating, documenting, tracking, and disseminating interagency exercise synchronization and strategic exercise integration efforts.
  • Prepare presentations for training, exercises, and meetings.
  • Provide any additional support to interagency meetings/conferences as requested.
  • Provide in-depth written after-action reports for tabletop and field training exercises involving policy application and performance evaluation, with recommended interagency corrective actions.
  • Prepare meeting/conference minutes, briefs, plans, and point papers as requested.

ELIGIBLE FOR SIGN-ON BONUS

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, scientific, technical, education or related field and 5-8 years of job-related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience performing duties as described may be substituted for the minimum requirements.

  • Background in tactical or strategic joint military exercise planning preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation of interagency after-action reports for exercises or real world operations.
  • Strong knowledge of exercise scenario development.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
  • Extensive software skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and internet research abilities.
  • Top secret/SCI clearance required w/POLY.

*The candidate's starting salary will be determined upon hire and ORAU will use salary survey data, internal comparators, and the candidate's qualifications to determine salary.
