Job Details
Responsibilities:
Tax projections and expert advice on tax planning strategies to optimize clients' tax positions.
Preparation of personal and business tax returns for clients in multiple States.
Complete, review, and analyze tax documentation for business and personal returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Supervise and provide guidance to a team of remote tax staff, ensuring that accuracy and deadlines are met.
Provide GAAP and policy support, performance management, ongoing training and development, goal setting, and support for continued team growth.
Leading tax engagements and communicating directly with clients throughout the year.
Communicate progress of engagements, issues, and resolutions to clients through written and verbal correspondence.
Resolving back tax issues and communicating with the IRS if needed.
Lead tax kick-off meetings and onboarding calls with clients.
Qualifications:
Must have a CPA or EA Certification
Experience and knowledge in preparing individual and business tax returns.
Experience and knowledge in tax planning and multi-state issues.
We prefer someone who has a minimum of 5-years experience working with multiple clients, and at least a bachelors or masters in Accounting/Business.
Experience supervising a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with willingness to meet with clients in an advisory capacity.
Possess the ability to utilize, and develop an advanced understanding of various tax programs and software.
