Due to growth, they are hiring a second Accounting Specialist to join their small accounting team on a contract to hire basis
Schedule: 8:30am-5pm M-F 100% in office in Hunt Valley, MD during training. Hybrid flexibility offered after training!

Job Duties:
Preparation of the bi-monthly carrier remittances runs for assigned carriers including, remittance reports, emails, and other reports required to remit premiums to the carriers.
Review carrier A/R reports and respond within the deadline as outlined by the carrier.
Assist with account issues and inquiries for your assigned carriers as per the request from Administration.
Prepare monthly and quarterly carrier discrepancy listings as per the established schedule for assigned carriers.
Assist with carrier requests and questions for assigned carriers timely and accurately.
Assist with monthly Depreciation and Fixed Asset processing.
Assist with various Carrier Analysis and high-volume reconciling discrepancies between systems.
Back up of other duties as requested within the department to assist with departmental needs and fill in for staff members while they are out of the office.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the Accounting Specialist:
Bachelors in Accounting or related field highly preferred
3+ years' accounting experience
Health insurance industry experience a plus, but not required
Strong reconciliation skills
Advanced Excel skills required
Detail oriented, fast paced, able to meet tight deadlines
