Job description

Our client, a parent and holding organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team based in Columbus, OH. This is an incredible opportunity for a Senior Accountant to be involved in a highly visible position while serving as the lead Accountant for a newly opened dealership. The Senior Accountant must be technically strong, comfortable taking ownership of their respective work duties, and have experience in the Truck Dealership and Heavy Equipment industry.

Salary/Hourly Rate

$65k $85k

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will be reporting directly to the Controller and primarily assisting in general ledger maintenance, month-end close, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions. This Senior Accountant will serve as a lead in all month-end close activities and policy & procedure setup.

Responsibilities Of The Senior Accountant

  • Responsible for producing timely and accurate financial statements and other related reports, including account analysis, and forecasting projections.
  • Perform month-end close process. This includes performing account reconciliations and calculating accruals and prepaids.
  • Prepare and maintain daily cash flow and cash flow reports forecast cash needs at weekly intervals.
  • Assist with collections as needed.
  • Monitor working capital and line of credit utilization.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, and revenues, to project future activity and identify weaknesses and opportunities.
  • Vendor maintenance and identification of 1099 vendors.
  • Maintain a professional work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.

Qualifications For The Senior Accountant

  • Karmak software experience is highly preferred.
  • Salesforce CRM experience is highly preferred.
  • Organization, attention to detail, sense of urgency.
  • Experience working with multi-entity organizations.
  • Must be able to make independent decisions on routine office activities.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent related business degree.
