Role: Critical Facility Technician

Location: Ashburn, VA

Duration: Long Term

We are currently seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to join our growing team. Reporting to the Facility Manager, this role involves hands-on analysis, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our 24x7 facility operations.

Duties And Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment
• Maintain and operate various mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, generators, fire detection and suppression, life safety systems, temperature control systems, and building management systems
• Coordinate and supervise electrical operations, maintenance, and energy management programs
• Ensure compliance with all change control processes
• Schedule and oversee preventive, contracted, and general maintenance activities
• Follow standard operating procedures and maintenance work instructions
• Operate and monitor critical system equipment, overseeing work efforts including third-party contractors
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and customer concerns
• Monitor building operations during scheduled shifts
• Evaluate and assign safe work responsibilities, ensuring compliance with safety procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma and minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical critical facilities support; or 7+ years' experience as an HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician
• Electrical/mechanical certifications preferred
• Willingness to work overtime and longer shifts, including day/night/weekend/holiday shifts
• Proficiency in MS Office
