Wilson College is currently accepting applications for a Coordinator of Curriculum for a new hybrid Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program.

The Coordinator of Curriculum holds a faculty appointment and has administrative, academic, service, and scholarship responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy of the academic program. They are responsible for all program curricular planning, implementation, and review processes and will work directly with program faculty to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated curriculum based on foundational documents, best evidence, and contemporary clinical practice. Additionally, they direct the evaluation of stakeholder input as part of an ongoing curriculum review process. Serving as Chair of Curriculum Committee, which serves as the primary coordinating body for all issues involving the OTD curriculum, the Coordinator of Curriculum educates faculty regarding the overall curriculum and how each course contributes to the overall curricular design; responds to College policies, employer, student and graduate feedback, and ACOTE accreditation standards; conducts regular meetings with the faculty related to the curriculum; and coordinates the Annual Curriculum Review.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Administrative Responsibilities:

* Coordinates all activities of the Curriculum Committee.

* Plans and conducts all Curriculum Committee meetings.

* Assists Program Director in the management of core and adjunct faculty, to include teaching responsibilities, course evaluations, and professional development.

* Educates all core and adjunct faculty regarding the curriculum plan, to include integration, threads, and their role in curriculum development and review.

* Mentors faculty in the development of syllabi, including construction of objectives and learning activities.

* Reviews all course syllabi and coordinates institutional review by the Graduate Council.

* Ensures proper sequencing of courses within the curriculum.

* Coordinates class scheduling to optimize learning sequence.

* Ensures that course assessment is an ongoing process, culminating in an annual Program Evaluation process.

* Coordinates and assists with agenda formation for the Annual Curriculum Review, to include:

* Annual assessment of the curriculum

* Review of Program mission, goals, and objectives.

* Course outcomes assessment.

* Summative results of Student Evaluation of the Curriculum.

* Summative review of adjunct, supportive, and guest faculty evaluations.

* Faculty input regarding curricular issues.

* Integrates selected topics and current issues into the curriculum as determined by evaluation of student/stakeholder feedback (i.e., OTD Advisory Board), recommended by faculty, or indicated by professional trends.

* Reports all curriculum activities as an agenda item in each department meeting.

* Provides primary Committee oversight to the following components of the Program Assessment Plan and ACOTE Self Study Report: Curriculum Plan / Academic Curriculum, Clinical Education Curriculum, and Program Resources.

* Ensures all program policies, procedures, and practices under the responsibility of the Coordinator of Curriculum provide for compliance with ACOTE accreditation policies and procedures.

* Additional duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Teaching and Education Responsibilities: The Coordinator of Curriculum will teach courses as agreed upon with the Program Director that meet the institutional workload requirements. This position is a remote/hybrid position and will require travel periodically to Pennsylvania throughout the year for intensive lab experiences as well as College functions deemed necessary for the function of the Occupational Therapy program.

Scholarship Responsibilities: Conduct and disseminate research/scholarship activities in accordance with ACOTE accreditation requirements and institutional policies and procedures.

Service Responsibilities: Participate in institutional and professional service opportunities in accordance with ACOTE accreditation and Pennsylvania licensure requirements, and institutional policies and procedures.

Professional Development Responsibilities: Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their area of teaching/clinical practice and abide by any licensure professional development standards established by the State Board of Occupational Therapy Education and Licensure (see ).

Supervisory Responsibilities:

* Chairs the Curriculum Committee

* Assists Program Director in management of core and adjunct faculty.

* Administrative staff dedicated to collecting data for the Annual Review of the Curriculum

* Lab assistants and adjuncts in assigned courses.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

* Full time

* Remote/Hybrid

* Work during evenings and weekends may be required.

Travel: Periodic travel to the Philadelphia metro area and Chambersburg, PA area will be required for intensive lab experiences and College functions.

Qualifications:

* Earned clinical doctorate in Occupational Therapy (i.e., OTD) or terminal doctorate (i.e., Ph.D., Ed.D., D. Sc.) in a discipline appropriate for teaching responsibilities from a USDE-recognized accrediting agency.

* A minimum of 5 years of full-time, documented experience in the field of Occupational Therapy.

* Eligibility for faculty rank at the Assistant Professor-level or above, demonstrating experience with the guidelines for faculty rank in the Faculty Bylaws.

* Understanding of higher education and contemporary clinical practice appropriate for leadership in occupational therapy clinical education.

* Knowledge of legislative, regulatory, legal, and practice issues affecting didactic and clinical education, students, and the profession of occupational therapy.

* Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as an Occupational Therapist in Pennsylvania.

* Active in professional activities at local, state, and/or national levels.

* Experience consistent with Wilson College System for Faculty Rank.

* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with faculty, students, staff, and administration.

* Ability to use the College's resources, notably technology, to promote effective teaching and learning.

* Interest, initiative, and ability to work with the Program Director, department faculty, and administrators for program development, implementation, and outcomes assessment.

* Ability to adhere to Wilson College policies and procedures and within FERPA and HIPAA regulations.

* Must have a valid driver's license.
