Job description
Job Summary: Reporting to the Quality Director, the CPIM is accountable and responsible for the planning, organizing, management, coordination, and administration of Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI) processes for all LUMA capital projects associated with Transmission Lines, Distribution Lines, Substations, Telecom facilities, Streetlights, Vegetation Clearing, AMI Installation, and other business sectors, to achieve a high degree of consistent quality performance and delivery.
This position supports all LUMA capital work performed by contractors and LUMA personnel including engineering, construction, and procurement activities, and is responsible for the effective planning, hiring, assignment, training, and supervision of appropriate resources in the development and delivery of the CPI Program.
Job Description:
Development and management of all aspects of work and processes associated with,
Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA):
Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR),
Apparent Cause Evaluations (ACE),
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Knowledge Management (KM):
Training, Qualification, and Certification of Personnel
Quality Performance Indicators/Metrics
Management Assessments (MAs)
Define and establish workflows and documented procedures for managed processes (i.e., CAPA and KM)
Establish and administer a database for capturing and processing of CAPAs, NCRs, ACEs, RCAs, and MAs
Ensure automated transition of all NCRs captured using existing inspection database platforms.
Escalate CAPA & NCRs that are behind schedule.
Categorize and prioritize CAPAs and NCRs based on program and organizational priorities and risk levels.
Plan, coordinate, and execute Apparent Cause Evaluations (ACE) and Root Cause Analyses (RCA)
Hire and manage personnel in charge of the planning and administration of the personnel training, qualification and certification program impacting managed processes.
Participate on Risk Assessment teams.
Measure, track, and report on the effectiveness and performance of the CAPA and Knowledge Management processes.
Ensure proper capture and control of all documentation and records for managed processes.
When required/upon request, execute major storm restoration work and associated drills, as assigned.
Follow all Company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Additional Job Description:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Business Management, Science, Engineering, or related disciplines
8 years of experience in Quality Management, Project Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong skills in MS office applications, including Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
Fluent written and oral communication in Spanish and English
Strong experience and knowledge in CAPA, Risk Management, Root Cause Analysis, training program development and implementation, CPI thru data collection & analysis, and lessons learned processes.
Experience with Intelex, ArcGIS, Projects Online, Master-Control, ETQ Reliance, or similar applications is preferred.
Experience in Power Generation Industry (e.g., Transmission and Distribution and associated assets) is preferred.
Experienced in data collection and analysis is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid Driver's License
ASQ Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB)
ASQ CMQ/OE (i.e., In addition to "Required Licenses/Certifications") is preferred.
