Position Description

TechPride is seeking a self-starter with to assist senior-level clients and leadership within the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) with Information and Data Management System support for the Assistant Commandant of Human Resources (DPR-XD). This role supports DPR-XD in project/program management, business transformation, governance, process analysis and refinement, strategic planning, and development of an Information and Data Management System for Human Resources at the Coast Guard. Data management and governance are growing priorities for stakeholders and senior leadership at the United States Coast Guard to modernize talent management, recruitment, and retention of the military, civilian, auxiliarist, ad reservist workforces. This role offers the opportunity to set the foundation and strategic framework and create a new information and data management system for CG Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate meetings and focus groups geared toward the development of an information and data management system for Coast Guard Human Resources and solutions that address the needs of stakeholders across the client space, including military and civilian workforces.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, removing obstacles preventing customer satisfaction, and improving access to data and key metrics for Coast Guard Human Resources and Talent Management.
  • Understand and utilize DoD365 applications (primarily SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate).
  • Develop Microsoft Power BI-based and Excel-based dashboards, including connections to SharePoint and/or Power Automate.
  • Recommend dashboard layouts and collaborate on their creation, testing, and deployment.
  • Deliver recommendations for resolution to client challenges and reducing barriers to entry for new technologies.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with senior personnel, including Flag Officers, while having ability to provide coaching to senior leadership and/or client personnel.
  • Provide support to senior clients in management of project timelines for multiple initiatives across the directorates as they relate to data and information management.
  • Contribute to and manage the development and execution of strategic communications and reports to senior leaders.
  • Facilitate client meetings and exercises to understand and document the full scope of deliverable requirements . Coordinate logistics and meeting materials with presenters and stakeholders.


Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of applicable experience in management consulting, project management, data management, or related field. Bachelor s degree required.
  • Experience developing and implementing data management systems (processes, best practices, tools, etc.) and dashboards to produce summary reports and detailed analysis.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams, Project, Visio, and Excel.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BI is a plus.
  • Familiarity with coding, including DAX, VBA, HTML/CSS or another language, is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. In particular, ability to communicate well with those whose background is not data-related or technical in nature.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex and diverse information/data and communicate (e.g. dashboards, reports, documentation) in a way that is easily understood by diverse stakeholder audiences and business units.
  • Experience in building and managing senior client relationships.
  • Experience owning client deliverables from concept to completion.
  • Experience directly managing projects, deadlines, and project teams.
  • Must be coachable, resourceful, and work effectively independently and in large team settings to include close collaboration with senior clients and program managers.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to think outside of the box.
  • Knowledge and experience with human resources lifecycle and human capital strategic initiatives is a plus.
