We offer flexible scheduling with **1 month's advance notice**. Shift hours typically fall between 7 am - 9 pm.

The **CDL Driver** in this role **supports the** **Frederick *Living*** **Mission** **of caring for and enriching the lives of older adults** with the following responsibilities:

* Drive the Frederick Living vehicles as assigned to meet the transportation needs of the residents of the facility.

* Practice safe driving skills at all times

* Ensure residents are comfortable and safely secured

* Demonstrate knowledge of the mechanical wheelchair lift and vehicle safety features

* Maintain proper fuel levels in the vehicles and observe and report any mechanical or body defects on vehicles immediately to the Transportation Manager

* Respond to scheduling requests within 24 - 48 hours

* Know the bus route to and from the designated site

* Report any incidents concerning residents to Transportation Manager or other appropriate staff

* Keep an operating cell phone available at all times during transport

* Perform other duties as required. Examples: on-campus delivery of packages, and meals, data entry, on the job training of new drivers, fluid checks and cleaning of vehicles, other customer service activities

**Successful candidates for this position will have:**

* High School Diploma or GED

* Current, valid, and clean PA Driver's License

* CDL with passenger endorsement required to drive 23 passenger bus

* Prior professional driving experience

* Safe driving record

* Wheelchair Safety Lockdown Training preferable (or will provide upon hire)
