Job Summary:
In the Senior Java Software Engineering role, you will be integral in crafting, coding, and refining Java-based applications within a Linux, Agile, and DevOps framework. Our focus at the forefront of aerospace and defense technology is on enabling exceptional communication, surveillance, and defense capabilities through state-of-the-art satellite systems. This role is not just about building new software solutions; it also involves the operations and maintenance of existing applications, ensuring they meet our rigorous standards and continuously evolve to support our mission. Join our Satellite Ground Systems Team to challenge the limits of technological advancements. Due to the security clearance requirements, this onsite position will be available in our State College, PA location or our Dulles, VA location.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
