Summary/Objective

The Maintenance Specialist is responsible in for supporting the day-to-day functions of maintenance department.

Responsibilities

* Communicates clearly and concisely with department manager, employees and vendors

* Maintain the accuracy of records in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

* Provide data reports from the maintenance system when requested.

* Order, Receive, issue, and ship parts/materials from maintenance inventory.

* Assist Maintenance Dispatcher/Warehouse Manager with warehouse inventory.

* Responsible for maintenance inventory cycle counts.

* Monitor part stock levels to ensure high use parts and materials are on hand.

* Warranty data management -Setup and maintain warranty info for parts and assets in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

* File and track warranty claims.

* Packages and prepares warranty parts for return shipping.

* Communicates to Procurement Department parts orders by preparing purchase orders.

* Backups dispatcher with coordinating the daily activities of company technicians and vendors.

* Management of asset data in CMMS including make, model, serial # and location.

* Seasonal Contract management.

* Compliance/regulatory tracking and recordkeeping.

Preferred Education and Experience

* High School Diploma or GED preferred.

* Two years related experience and/or training in customer service, dispatching, project management or logistics.

* Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical is a plus.

* May be required to successfully pass a DOT physical based on weight of vehicle to be operated.
