DescriptionThe Leidos Innovations Center (LInC) has an immediate opportunity for a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to join the growing EW division supporting key Air Force missions in Dayton, OH. In the RF Engineer role, you will be responsible for the planning, oversight, and execution of test events and strategies for complex RF systems and subsystems. You will work closely with contractor and government scientists, engineers, and experts to understand and define key test requirements and objectives. The successful candidate will have hands on experience in RF, Radar, and EW technologies and test, evaluation, and integration practices.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform research, development, test, and evaluation of complex radar and EW systems and associated subsystems/componentsOperate RF lab equipment including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, vector network analyzers, etc.Design, develop, and implement integration and testing strategies for complex EW systemsSupport the test and integration process by performing all necessary planning, design, development, and implementationParticipate in both lab-based verification test and test range eventsTroubleshoot and resolve issues during the test and integration eventsEffectively communicate with external and internal stakeholdersProvide robust documentation of test procedures, plans, results, and analysesBasic QualificationsBS degree in Engineering (Electrical or related) and 8 years of prior relevant experienceExperience with writing and/or developing test procedures for EW systems and subsystemsBasic knowledge of RF, Radar, communications, and EW theoryExperience using EW hardware and/or software productsAbility to work, collaborate, and communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering teamStrong, self-motivated desire to learn new tools, methods, and techniquesExperience with EW and/or Radar Waveforms, Signal Processing Techniques, RF lab verification, test and evaluation, and engineering analysis tools such as MATLAB or PythonWillingness to travelMust have ability to acquire a DoD TS/SCI Security ClearanceU.S. Citizenship requiredPreferred QualificationsMS or PhD. in EngineeringExperience leading test efforts for DoD customersExperience working on military test rangesExperience with embedded systems (FPGAs, firmware/software)Advanced knowledge of RF and EW theoryExisting TS/SCI clearanceLInCElectronic WarfareOriginal Posting Date:2024-01-24While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
